THAT WE TEST

involucro a prova de explosao

EXPLOSION PROOF ENCLOSURES
"ex d"
(ABNT NBR IEC 60079-1)

1. Casing

2. Command Box.

The “Ex d” type of explosion-proof protection is used for the enclosure of the equipment where the pressure of the explosion is supported and the prevention of propagation from the inside to the outside.

The reference tests for this type of protection are:

- Measurement of the explosion reference pressure.

- Under pressure.

- No propagation.

EQUIPMENT PROTECTED BY INTRINSIC SAFETY
"Ex"
(ABNT NBR IEC 60079-11)

1. Intrinsic Safety Barrier.

2. Pressure transmission.

3. Hand flashlight.

The type of protection protected by intrinsic safety  “Ex i” is based on energy restriction  electrical  of interconnection of equipment and wiring exposed to explosive atmosphere  to a level below which it may cause ignition by sparking or by heating effects.

The reference tests for this type of protection are:

- Spark ignition test;

- Tests for cells and batteries;

- Type tests for diode safety barriers and safety taps.

Equipments

non-electric for explosive atmospheres

ABNT NBR IEC 80079-36 and

ABNT NBR IEC 80079-37

Constructive safety “c”

Type of protection against ignition where constructive measures are applied in order to protect against the possibility of ignition from hot surfaces, mechanical sparks and adiabatic compression generated by moving parts.

Constructive safety “b”

Type of ignition protection where mechanical or electrical devices are used in conjunction with non-electrical equipment to manually or automatically reduce the likelihood that a potential source of ignition will become an effective source of ignition._cc781905-5cde-3194- bb3b-136bad5cf58d_

Immersion in liquid “k”

Type of protection where potential sources of ignition are rendered ineffective or separated from the explosive atmosphere by total immersion of the ignition sources in a protective liquid or by partial immersion and continuous coating of their active surfaces with a protective liquid, so that an explosive atmosphere which may be above the liquid, or on the outside of the equipment enclosure, cannot ignite.
